Margaret River Gourmet Escape

Head South for the 5th annual Escape that’s been described by one of its 2018 returning stars, Nigella Lawson, as an ‘astonishing’ event in a ‘magical’ destination. Get caught up in the celebrated WA food and drinks on offer from local and international chefs, winemakers and brewers. Along with big names like Rick Stein and Matt Stone, iconic events include the quintessential Gourmet Beach BBQ and Feast in the Forest. The Gourmet Village at Leeuwin Estate is the festival hub, with a long list of taste-worthy satellite events in the region.

It’s a short drive away to Kalamunda (but a ‘whole world away’ they promise) for this month long celebration of all the artistic talents and delectable tastes of the Perth Hills. Foodies will love the opportunities that abound for sampling local wines, beers and ciders alongside the very best of fresh produce that’s showcased across a wide range of local venues. Attend a relaxed long table lunch, sample fresh and succulent asparagus, taste wines and woodfired pizzas. There’s even the annual Fairies’ Picnic for the young and young at heart!

UnWined, Subiaco

You’re invited to Subiaco to enjoy the very best of WA’s fine wines, craft beers, ciders and spirits in a festival to celebrate their unique beverages. With over 70 companies at the event, you can talk directly to winemakers and discover many new producers. Sample drinks by the glass and relax on a picnic blanket with delicious tapas. Extend your knowledge at a food and wine-pairing session with locally sourced tastes, presented by a local chef and sommelier, or attend a wine appreciation seminar. BeauVine, Mount Lawley

This much loved Mount Lawley food and wine festival kicks off again at Birdwood Square, bringing over 60 wineries, breweries, distilleries and cideries together for a tasting sensation in the warm, suburban heart of Mount Lawley. With 12 of Perth’s favourite restaurants taking part, you can soak up the outdoor sunshine and revel in a feast of sensational offerings from pop-up eateries. There are markets, live entertainment, and the iconic BeauVine ferris wheel. Prepare to relish tastings by the glass at this event that’s guaranteed to excite your palate and inspire your senses.
