Stylish Dekton Kitchen Benchtops

Sintered Stone Benchtops

Dekton is an ultracompact surface that has become increasingly popular for kitchen benchtops. Cosentino makes Dekton from a blend of the raw materials used in glass, porcelain and quartz surfaces. It resists everyday wear and tear, which makes it an ideal choice for busy family kitchens. Dekton is a sophisticated mixture of more than 20 minerals from nature.

Cosentino manufactures Dekton with its exclusive TSP technology, which sinters mineral particles so they bond with each other. The process achieves in a few hours what nature takes thousands of years to create.

Dekton’s exclusive press generates 25,000 tonnes of uniform pressure, about 2.5 times the weight of the Eiffel Tower. This ultracompaction process leaves Dekton with no micro defects that cause tension or weak points. It also has almost no porosity.

As a sintered surface with no resin, Dekton sits outside Australia’s ban on engineered stone, which took effect in July 2024.

Experience limitless innovation in design and performance. Dekton is a standout surface for kitchen benchtops. It is highly resistant to stains, scratches and heat. Dekton also comes in a wide range of colours. Dekton benchtops have many benefits:

  • Highly scratch resistant
  • Stain resistant
  • Easy cleaning and maintenance
  • Fire and heat resistant
  • Reduced water absorption
  • Abrasion resistant
  • Impact resistant
  • UV resistant for outdoor kitchens

Kitchen Craftsmen Alfresco Kitchen

Dekton for Alfresco Kitchens

Dekton resists UV light, heat and frost, so it holds its colour outdoors. That makes it a popular choice for alfresco kitchens, where the benchtop faces the Perth sun all year round. Our designers can match your indoor and outdoor benchtops for one continuous look from the kitchen to the alfresco.

Help Choosing Your Dekton Benchtop

Real Dekton Projects

Dekton Laurent

This Stirling kitchen showcases Dekton Laurent, with golden veins that run across a deep charcoal base. The stone covers the benchtops, the splashback and the waterfall ends of the island, while fluted timber overheads and warm LED lighting bring out the gold tones after dark.

Dekton Taga

This Alkimos kitchen features Dekton Taga, inspired by Taj Mahal quartzite, with caramel veining across a soft taupe base. The stone wraps the island in a waterfall edge and rises up the splashbacks to meet white shaker cabinetry and brushed brass tapware. A timber dining table extends from the island for family meals.
